Can I put motorcycle gloves in the dryer?

1 answer

For most technical textile or synthetic motorcycle gloves, you can safely use a dryer, but with some key precautions. At RideGlove, we recommend using a no-heat or air-dry cycle if possible to prevent shrinking or warping of the materials. If using low heat, make sure to remove any rigid protective armor first. Leather or natural fiber gloves should always be air-dried to avoid cracking or stiffening. It’s also wise to stuff gloves with towels or balls to help retain their shape while drying. While convenient, putting gloves in a high-heat dryer can degrade materials and protective qualities faster.
